SELF-STORAGE is a series of prints and drawings based on the structures built to house all the stuff people own but don't have room for. Although these are built by contractors, not architects, their function often determines classical forms, that nonetheless hide anything and everything. I render the buildings from multiple perspectives, and allow them to overlap and accumulate on paper, canvas and sometimes walls. Multiple sheets of cut paper suggest impossible and confusing spaces. Paintings and prints in this series also incorporate color derived from logos of shipping companies.
